UbseyMovies 10th Anniversary – Live Broadcast Event July 30th at 1pm pst
Monday, July 25th, 2011
I recall the year 2001, when Robbie and I would talk about the possibilities the internet wielded in terms of video distribution – Then a few years later YouTube occurred and here we are! With our videos, we’ve tried to bring a unique perspective to the internet, and we’ve only just started.
To celebrate we’ll be having a major musical event! As well as a showcase of our films with a live audience! The event itself will be hosted outdoors, and you’ll be able to catch it on justin.tv/ubseymovies on July 30th at 1pm PST. The event will most likely span into the late evening, once night falls we’ll be watching our films via projector, with a few surprises! Its gonna be a blast!
Elliot Kane ends 5 years of our CMF’ing lives
Saturday, July 2nd, 2011Last weekend we returned from our trip to Hollywood California, where we saw Elliot Kane play at the Campus Movie Fest International Grand Finale. There were a lot of interesting little flicks out there, and everyone had a great time! Though our film did not succeed in any of its nominations, we couldn’t be happier with the turn out. We also want to send our warmest thanks to CMF and its employment, who are by far the most exceptional people in showbiz! David, Dan, Vijay, Megan, Abe “Abey Baby”, Michael “Mikey”, Evan, and many many more! Thanks for 5 great years, everyone.
If any of you are in college and interested in film, we highly recommend participating in this festival! It’s a wonderful experience, and is a great resource for up-and-comers like ourselves. Plus, these gents do a real bang up job! Free equipment and prizes, WOW!
We’ve entered CMF 5 years in a row, and every time we’ve managed to get to the finale. We feel this is an accomplishment for us, and if you enter the festival you’ll see how much love and hard work goes into creating a short in one week. Please consider participating, and learn as much as possible from the experience. It surely helped us grow as filmmakers, as well as people. Thanks again guys! We’ll never, ever, forget you.

Lost crappy videos from 2005 – 2008!!
Tuesday, December 29th, 2009Lately Robbie has been having some fun going through, compressing, and uploading old videos we whimsically made from 2005 to 2008. You can check them out on the UbseyGang youtube account.
I suppose it goes without saying, but just in case: These movies are intended to be bad, and laughed at.

And possibly more to come! Enjoy.

Back in March of this year, our friend Jeremy Inman asked Robbie and me (Jeff) to make a 1970′s Spider Man movie parody to be played during his feature length film: Super Hero Party Clown.
A few days ago Robbie and I wrapped our shoot for the 70′s segment, which consisted of an obligatory warehouse fight and an origin scene.
Robbie starred as the 70′s Arachnid-Man, and I was directing.
The first day of shooting was in the basement of the San Jose State theater, which was frightening because literally just as we walked in we saw a man putting up a sign for asbestos. (more…)
